We’ve always said that socks make the perfect gift and our point was proven recently when guests at an event held in New York to pay tribute to former Sony Chairman Sir Howard Stringer were treated to a pair of our handmade pure cashmere socks as a special memento of their evening.

The reception, organised by British Consul General Danny Lopez and the Welsh Government in honour of Sir Howard’s recent retirement from his role at Sony was attended by a diverse area of media industry executives and television personalities as well as Welsh investors and members of the media.

Over the course of his career, Sir Howard, born in Cardiff, has been a tireless advocate in promoting Wales in the USA and globally, and was instrumental in Sony’s decision to keep their manufacturing and operations in Wales.

As a reflection of Sir Howard’s Welsh roots, guests at the event enjoyed Welsh food and beverages and left with a token of Wales to enjoy in their homes, a Penderyn whisky or a pair of our lovely pure cashmere socks – we hope all those who received the socks were pleased with their gift.
